CinemaCon 2024 My Experiences

                        Part 2

Walking the floor we landed in the trade show area which was really cool with the mixture of chairs, food and video walls! We were really taken by the Digital Light Sources (DLS) LEDMAX Cinema Screen. It was instant eye candy and definitely pointing in the right direction as far as what the future will bring. They had a large screen demo set up which also was doing an active 3D movie (Spiderman) which looked terrific. DLS is certified by DCI Cinema Standard and they also support lossless playback. They also support 12 bit Cinema sources while using 5G high-speed signal transmission. If you're a consumer and wondering about for at home use you can opt for a 5 meter size which comes in 2k. We had the pleasure of meeting Sami Haddad the President of DLS. Watch what he had to say below and check out the demo I recorded from my iPhone 15. As exciting as hanging out with Sami and learning about their Cinema Screens it was fun running into other things at the Trade Show. Check out the Skittles ReMix Machine. Imagine picking out just your favorite color Skittles and then having them go into a cup for you to take with you. Check out the video below (bottom of page) to see how the magic happens! They also have a M&M version which is just as cool. I included their info sheet so you can learn more. Have you ever tasted a rainbow? With the Skittles ReMix Machine you can!

I had a lot of fun visiting the Popcorn companies. I was shocked to see a couple booths just showing the kernels without any samples. Orville who is famous in my home town and born in my state, had tasty samples available. They are served at our local Cinemark do to the hometown connection. LouAna, who purchased my all time favorite Odell's Anhydrous Butterfat, had some amazing tastebud loving sample bags. I still have not found out how to get their new LouAna Butterfat topping so if you're reading this please let me know. That is the replacement for the ODell's which we have used for over a decade! We have been using SunGlo which is soybean based too so were not exactly slumming it. We like that too!

And then we ran into Casey Gibson who is the National Commercial Partnerships Manager for BARTESIAN. Think a Keurig cocktail maker! This has been life-changing to our home already. Yes, I ended up going all in after the demonstration drinks at the show. We got a nice assortment of cocktails to try and Jaclyn already had a Mom's night where they tried it out. Let's just say the Bartesian was the hit of the party and no one had to tip it! Just keep in mind you may want to start out setting the strength of the drinks to "light" until you are sure you can handle "regular" or the "strong" strength. If you want easy, tasty drinks in a matter of seconds without any effort look no further. Check out the BARTESIAN website with the link below!

It was realluy fun posing with some of the CinemaCon talent with green screen Movie promos.
